sinai, day three

on day three of our trip, we decided to parasail!
neither of us had ever done it and we were really excited i was nervous as shit.

well, first we started off the day by snorkeling, well...dekel snorkeled and i hung out in the red sea on a tube, it was so relaxing and fun. dek caught some really great photos using his camera & an underwater camera case :)

...then it was time to parasail.
i was so nervous, i dont even know why.
maybe it was my fear of heights, maybe i was just kinda sea sick from floating all morning but after we got done i felt so sick, like dizzy and just bad. but i would do it again in a heartbeat, it was so fun & not to mention, beautiful!! we saw all the jordanian mountains from up there and it was so cool to just be chillin up in the sky.

our final night we wanted to "splurge" and skip the resort buffet and pay to go to dinner at one of the hilton restaurants, we opted for the middle eastern theme, since we were in egypt afterall & it didnt dissappoint. we ordered a dish called "cold mezzah," which came with hummus, eggplant salad, grape leaves filled with rice, tabouli salad and regular salad. i also ordered lentil soup which was served with croutons and lemon and was delish! note to self: learn to make lentil soup.

here are some photos from our third day in sinai:

 beautiful, beautiful sunset

 lirot, egyptian money
this sums up friday, the last day of our trip (& my bday!!), we needed to check out at noon, so i spent the morning like this till we had to go pack:
my birthday beer in eilat  :)
ps- i mastered the frenchbraid with the fishtail ending.
what do you think??

that's it for my egypt diaries!
hope you guys enjoyed seeing snipets from our trip!!

the friday we left was my birthday (the 28th), and we didnt have to check out till noon, so we hung out a little bit more by the ocean and then packed our things to head home. we stopped in eilat for lunch at one of our favorite places to eat there, an irish pub called paddy's, where we split a pizza and got some beer  :)

since we were so out of it by the time we got home from the exhausting road trip, we decided my birthday dinner could wait a day. so on saturday we got gussied up and headed to a great steakhouse by the kinneret, called marinado. no, we didnt go for the meat. actually i LOVE one of their salads, so we ordered that and also bread with tahini and also split grilled portabella mushrooms with mashed potatos. YUM! exactly what i wanted for my birthday meal and with husband as my company i was a happy girl  :)

Miyan,
I am so so so impressed by your beautiful pictures. I mean, I would totally blow up the 2 of the sunset and the waves on sand and frame them and hang them in my hallway. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of documenting your trip--you're pictures are breath-taking! PS- I love your pink shirt in the last photo! Where's it from?

Love, Amelia
